SAGRIT Project Progress Report – “Sustainable Agriculture Training for Professionals”

Within the framework of the SAGRIT Project—which aims to strengthen the capabilities of agri-food sector professionals in sustainable agriculture—a series of key activities have been carried out this quarter, reflecting significant progress in the implementation of the planned workstreams.

Notable actions include the kick-off meetings—coordination sessions that enabled the technical team and project partners to comprehensively address both operational and strategic aspects. These sessions covered fundamental topics such as:

  • General project logistics, ensuring proper planning and resource allocation.
  • Document and field management, guaranteeing the appropriate recording, systematization, and monitoring of data collected in the intervention areas.
  • Procurement processes for technical equipment required for the optimal execution of training and research activities.
  • Updates regarding modifications and improvements to the project website and the e-learning platform, aimed at optimizing communication and beneficiary access to content.
  • Progress updates on focus groups—particularly those conducted in Cuba—which have provided valuable insights for tailoring training strategies to local realities.
  • Finalization of training schedules in both Spain and Italy, enabling the launch of in-person and virtual training sessions within the established timeframes.

It is worth noting that these activities were conducted with a high level of organization and coordination among consortium partners, resulting in substantial progress and the achievement of programmatic milestones. The systematic approach and commitment demonstrated by the implementation team allow for a very positive assessment of the project’s progress, laying a solid foundation for future phases and ensuring the quality and relevance of training initiatives aimed at sector professionals. In conclusion, the quarter under review demonstrates the effective operation of the SAGRIT Project, with tangible results that consolidate its track record and reinforce its contribution to specialized training in sustainable agriculture within the European and Latin American context.
